Many companies will happily spend a few hundred thousand on a marketing campaign that runs for a few weeks or days, often with little or only short-term return, but won’t consider spending money on culture, which can positively affect the entire organisation and ultimately its customers for years to come.

Very few companies dismiss culture, but very few really embrace it. Culture is often relegated to an afterthought, even though it’s where many of an organisation’s problems and solutions begin. Subtly but surely, culture permeates every part of every business. And one way or another, culture happens. But an untended culture is an unintended culture. Left to its own devices, a less than optimal culture will grow organically. If nurtured, though, a strong and healthy one can develop deliberately.

Culture is often defined as “the way we do things around here”, and it stands to reason that if you can “do things better” you will have a better organisation. Issues may be caused or reinforced by a poor culture but can be fixed or, even better, avoided with a strong one.

A better functioning, more cohesive, highly and happily engaged company is ultimately what you should expect to get out of investing in culture work.

Of course, sometimes there is something specific that culture work can help with. A few reasons why you might want to have a conversation with us include:

  • You want to get culture right before it goes wrong
  • You’re scaling or growing
  • Your business or industry is changing
  • Your competitors are becoming more of a threat
  • You’re struggling to attract or keep good people
  • Your people aren’t happy, engaged or energised
  • Your company isn’t performing at its potential

We offer a free introductory consultation to explore how making your culture more conscious can benefit your company.
